We are excited to be one of the first to provide mash-up fans everywhere with three brand new tracks from up & coming producer 3LAU. Las Vegas' 3LAU (Justin Blau) is a 21-year-old house/bootleg/remix producer who just embarked on his musical journey in 2011. His dreams of traveling the world performing for endless dancing crowds are very much within his reach. With inspirations like Deadmau5, Steve Angello, Porter Robinson, Avicii, and Calvin Harris, 3LAU samples some of the hottest hits on the music scene and turns them into creations of his own. His undeniably catchy twist on the dance genre has exploded his fan-base in the past year. We anticipate hearing much more from 3LAU in the near future.
In regards to the three tracks within his latest We Found House release, he has taken Rihanna's "We Found Love" and altered it into three totally different sounds. I cannot decide which of the three is my favorite, but there is no doubt they are all appealing in their own way.
The first track, "We Found House", includes Dinka's "Reach For Me" (Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman Remix), Coldplay's "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall" (Swedish House Mafia Remix), and Calvin Harris feat. Rihanna's "We Found Love" (Acapella). The track has a house-esque feel, flowing seamlessly from one sample to the next. 3LAU has successfully laid the samples on top of one another in a flawless fashion.
The second track, "We Found Love Again", includes Basto's "Again and Again" and Calvin Harris feat. Rihanna's "We Found Love" (Acapella). This track is the most similar to the original; however, it provides the original track with more of an upbeat underlying vibe.
The third and final track, "We Found House" (3LAU Moderntalking Bootleg), includes samples from Knife Party's "Internet Friends", Nicky Romero's "Toulouse", Calvin Harris feat. Rihanna's "We Found Love" (Acapella), and LMFAO's "Sexy & I Know It" (Acapella). Of the three tracks 3LAU has released, this one feels the most like a mash-up.
3LAU has successfully taken one song and turned it into three separate sounding tracks. All three are catchy, upbeat, and dance-worthy. Take a listen, enjoy, and be sure to follow 3LAU on his journey (we definitely will be).
