It was only three months ago we were giving out two thumbs up to Sydney duo Midnight Pool Party, calling their music upbeat and positive with their last single "Stand A Chance". The track came alongside the news of their brand-new EP ‘MOTIONS’, due out later this year. Now the pair are teasing fans with the next wave of music, this time stirring up an infectious disco-house treat called "Slow Down".
Taking very little time to come to life, "Slow Down" moved quickly through the production and writing process, and Darren Morilla (1/2 MPP), shares “I actually wrote the hook and demo one night after a had a few glasses of wine. I remember having fun writing it because I was dancing along to it by myself in my room. As soon as Ollie jumped on the track, we smashed out the production and we knew it was one for the EP.” While it didn't take much time to cook this one in the oven, it came together quite nicely with warm beats, silky synth work, smooth vocals and an easy-to-move-to energy. Give it a first listen here and if you're feeling it, you can grab it now.
