After sharing the celebratory visuals for their summer jam "Perfect", Florida natives Lester Sanchez and Quincy Jamal return with a full-length collaborative project titled "Wentworth.' The body of work is titled after the same neighborhood both acts grew up in. Tapping into similar experiences ranging from personal upbringings, unstable income and the other myriad of problems facing low-income housing residents, Sanchez and Jamal used these challenges as inspiration to propel themselves out of a bleak situation rather than succumb to it.
Clocking in at 9 tracks, 'Wentworth' combines Quincy Jamal's lyrical ability with Lester Sanchez's penchant for catchy and melodic hooks. This is displayed on their earlier collaboration like the aforementioned "Perfect" where the duo play off each other's strengths while Tah-O adds his own unique flavor to the record. "Goldberg" sees them share their comeuppance story and their current status that is a far cry from where they started, the Pressure Dommer assisted "My Dawgs" is a reflective piece that pays tribute to their friends who are familiar with their struggles while the heartwarming "Give Her Love" blends Afropop grooves with R&B sensibilities. The project carries tunes for all types of moods whether it be party time vibes or something to reflect to.
