Frank B recruits the production prowess of veteran hip-hop producer Frankie Cutlass for his new cut titled "Diamonds." The legendary producer, known for his ‘90s party anthem “Puerto Rico,” provides Frank B with a heavy boom-bap instrumental peppered with a smooth vocal sample and martial drum fills. Frank B is in his element here as he brings an inherent sincerity and authenticity to the mic with an uplifting and inspirational message that everyone can relate to.
The Brooklyn artist also brings that same feeling of authenticity to the single’s video, which is directed/edited by frequent collaborator Olise Forel. Flanked by slick visuals and quick cuts, Frank unpacks his journey from ground zero to get to where he is today while offering wise words and clever hip-hop references.
"Diamonds" is taken from Frank’s long-awaited, debut LP, Let Me B Frank, due out early 2020. The album includes guest appearances from Sticky Fingaz, Rock (Heltah Skeltah), Fame (M.O.P.), and more. It also boasts production from none other than Dame Grease (who produced “Frankenstein”), Gennessee, Cozmo, Max Perry, Joe Josh, Git Beats (who produced the majority of the tracks), and of course Frankie Cutlass.
