Today we get to hear the wonderful bilingual sounds from the indie rock band from the town of San Marcos, Texas. who go by the moniker Clever Heads Prevail. A pretty offbeat name for band, and we must say, expect to hear something off the wall on their latest release titled "Mumbles". Their sound is a culmination of alternative rock riffs, passionate vocals and engulfing instrumentation. "Mumbles" starts off with a brooding guitar riff that rings urgency and a throbbing bassline while frontman José Jimenez delivers a bone chilling performance that feels like a scene out of a film noir flick.
Their influences include Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tera Melos, The Killers and System of a Down, which is not surprising considering what they have created on "Mumbles". Formed in 2015 by José Jimenez (vocals and rhythm guitar) who recruits Micah Krejcha (lead guitar), Landon Cabrera (bass) and Eric Puente (drums). “Mumbles” is the first single/ title track off their upcoming album, Mumbles. The album is set to be released in January of 2018.
