After the success of CHINA EDM Vol. 1, Cyanhill Music has returned with another riveting compilation. Entitled China EDM Vol 2., the nine-track EDM journey draws from songs from several corners of electronic music rather than focusing on a single sound. Listeners will hear contributions from artists including Lizzy Wang, DJ KAKA, MEGURU, SUNK, DJ UNA, Katastic, and 9uery. Together, they represent a mix of established performers and emerging names working across dance-pop, future rave, hard techno, and underground electronic styles. The international component adds another layer. Remixes from MATTN and Mariana BO, along with vocals from Venessa, connect the release to artists working beyond China's borders while keeping the spotlight on the compilation's core contributors.
The focus track "Obsession" is by internationally acclaimed Chinese EDM Lizzy Wang. The artist has toured throughout the world including in Europe and the US, gaining a massive following. With "Obsession", Lizzy Wang creates a futuristic, hard-hitting, and seductive musical escape. The single chronicles a woman who stands on her own, wanting to be in control of love. She sings, "I don't need your love / All I want from you is pure obsession," showing that she knows her worth and demands it. Sonically, "Obsession" thrills with pitch-black beats, wild synths and a memorable hook. The song is the perfect example of what China EDM Vol. 2 has to offer, a unique, refreshing and enticing musical compilation.
To celebrate the release of CHINA EDM Vol. 2, ZHANGYE and Cyanhill Music alongside ubras, threw a massive party on the coast of Aranya, China. The beachside celebration highlighted not only the new music but also the artists themselves, the next generation of Chinese EDM creators. Guests were treated to a fashion show, musical performances and appearances from singers, actresses, and cultural figures who attended the celebration. The setting underscored the project’s larger vision. Electronic music was framed not as a niche scene, but as an integral part of a wider dialogue on creativity, style, and contemporary Chinese culture.
