Without a doubt, we are officially in Smeezy Season. Just under a month ago, the St. Lous born and Chicago residing rapper Smino dropped a remix to blkswn standout “Anita.” Featuring none other than the legendary T-Pain, the remix is a fun and funky track that even features a new verse from Smino. Today, Smi takes it one step further and drops a wacky video to accompany the remix. Life is grand, ain’t it?
Smi’s and T’s video for “Anita” is everything anyone could want in a nostalgic rap video. Absurdly extra outfits? Yup. Fly ladies? Of Course. Driving a convertible through outer space? Obviously. From start to finish, “Anita” is a fun ride, which is we expect with such a stellar track and such big personalities. On top of “Anita” sounding like a fun ride, both Smi and T look like they are enjoying themselves while filming. Throughout the vid, both are laughing and dancing as they perform the track. Not a bad way to spend the day, I’m sure.
