Coming fresh off an opening performance for Felly in Los Angeles at the Roxy Theatre, and an appearance at ComplexCon alongside his KidSuper squad, our Belizian friend Safa Gaw has continued to churn out quality music as we head into the close of this year. His newest offering, seen above, is entitled "$AVING$" and is self-produced by the Bronx native.
Safa has been busy the last few months, releasing four additional songs since our posting of "InFact (Blessed)" back in August. Much like "$AVING$", the majority are produced by Safa, whose display of versatility between artistry and production are palatable. To him, it may be that they go hand-in-hand.
From an aesthetics perspective "$AVING$" is tunneled and zoned out, yet contrarily strong in vibe. There's a noticeable ode to the likes of Travi$ Scott throughout Gaw's music, and the combination of contemporary instrumentation and meaningful subject matter is a good one – one that should do him well long term.
