Safa Gaw, raised in Belize and The Bronx, samples heavy Garifuna music on his latest release "InFact (Blessed)." Produced and recorded by Safa himself at KidSuper Studios in Brooklyn, NY, the fusion of garifuna and trap is a nice pairing – a conscious one at that. It'd have been hard to escape the influences of the West African turned Central American art form in Belize, where the traditional instrumentation of the segunda and maraca translate neatly here into both the sample elements and drum work.
Safa has quarantined himself inside KidSuper as he finishes his debut project; title and release date to be announced, but more can be expected the second half of this year.
"Boy you look broke you look stressed
Bitch we up not fuckin next."

The single is a good showing for him following his succession of successful releases dating back to last year, which garnered almost two million plays – done entirely independent. See what he had to say about part of the creative process below:
"The chorus came to me while I was thinking about all the wrong that's going on in my life and decided to start focusing on the positive." -Safa Gaw
