The team over at The Fader just published a feature on a rising R&B duo, Ibeyi. The French-Cuban members are twin sisters Lisa-Kaindé and Naomi Diaz, and have not only gotten some love on Instagram from a post featuring their track "River" by Beyonce, but have a unique sound and outlook on music, identity and the world. Their debut self-titled album is out now via XL Recordings.
Further into the feature was premiered a re-fix of a track from Ibeyi, done by UK pop, soul and electronica's Mark Ronson. Done in his classically funky style, the re-fix helps us fall deeper in love with the vocals from the original, and the straight out of disco guitar riff keeps this one upbeat.
