AMBER makes a confident introduction on her debut EP, Just a Daydream.
Across five tracks, the London-based singer-songwriter brings together soul, jazz, funk, and vintage pop influences while exploring love, heartbreak, and personal growth.
Written and recorded with producer Kipper Eldridge, the EP opens with "St Tropez" and "Obsession," two tracks that lean into romance and attraction.
From there, "Say What" changes the pace with a catchy groove and lyrics about the misunderstandings that can arise when people avoid saying what they really mean. It's one of the EP's strongest moments.
"Find Love" looks at the highs and lows of relationships, while closing track "Aromatherapy" takes a more reflective approach. Its cinematic arrangement gives the EP a fitting conclusion and brings its themes full circle.
What stands out throughout Just a Daydream is AMBER's songwriting. She keeps the lyrics clear and relatable, allowing the emotions behind each song to come through naturally.
Combined with polished production and a strong vocal performance, the result is an enjoyable debut that gives listeners a solid sense of who AMBER is as an artist.
