I don't find myself posting videos too often, but whatever Purity Ring touches seems to hold me completely spellbound. Earlier today, they released a video for "Belispeak," the first single off their forthcoming album Shrines, which is set for release on July 24th through 4AD/Last Gang. The video, directed by BREWER, casts front woman Megan James wading through a murky swamp, staging a perfect backdrop to illustrate the ominous song. The video goes from projecting a sense of uneasiness as Megan makes her way through the waters, to a pink hued mindfuck, leaving viewers both startled and perhaps slightly scared by the end.
