The Filthy Dukes are a UK (London) trio who looks surprisingly clean.

Filthy Dukes were originally the duo, Olly Dixon and Tim Lawton who have for years, have dj"d around the world and promoted a club night called Kill Em All (at fabric in London).

Olly and Tim were joined by record producer Mark Ralph in 2005, who all together create what we know and love now. Mark Ralph is also the connection to Cassette Jam, our other band of interest today.

"Our Debut album was produced by Mark Ralph from the Dukes and is out in a few months" – Cassette Jam explain to Earmilk in an email earlier today.

Cassette Jam apparently (I haven't seen it yet) rocks eight decks (chemical brothers eat your hear out) and two mixers. This unique setup helped them win the Cream International Search DJ Comp in 2006.

Anyway, expect more from Cassette Jam in the near future, and go checkout the debut long play from Filthy Dukes entitled 'Nonsense In The Dark' which dropped March of this year (2009)
