As the first of three singles leading up to Isobel’s debut EP, due in January 2026, “Snow Globe” is a striking testament to her artistry. It delivers an electronic-pop punch, weaving breathy vocals with sharp, hard-hitting lines—“I’m bored by trying to be everything that I don’t like”—while balancing rough-edged sonic textures against a dreamy, floating vocal delivery.
On the meaning behind the track, Isobel says: “The song was written during a particularly low period of my life when I was living in a small town in northern Sweden. It was winter, and there were only about four hours of hazy daylight each day. I remember having a sort of Truman Show image in my head—that a massive dome could be covering the town, stretching from the hill on one side to the other—and we wouldn’t even know, because we never left the boundaries of the valley. The song is literally about feeling like you’re trapped inside a snow globe that hasn’t been shaken for a while, where everything is still and you’re not sure what’s beyond the horizon.”
