Every now and again, you'll come across an artist that has such a refined sonic palette, that you'll know who it is from the vibe alone. This is becoming more of a challenge in the electronic music space for a whole host of reasons, such as certain sounds becoming the flavour of the season, the technology becoming more widely available, all the way to production tutorials online on how to imitate your favourite artists sound. Following in the footsteps of groundbreaking Dutch duo Droeloe, New York-based duo MEMBA are fast establishing a sound that's fresh, cinematic and unmistakably theirs and are back to stake their claim with "Meet Freedom", which features the vocal talents of Levus Alone.

Is it future bass with a trap lilt, is it post-dubstep with an EDM flair? It's MEMBA, and they're far from your typical producers, listing themselves as "Experience Designers" on social media and "Meet Freedom" is that and so much more. Currently gearing up for their North American tour, the pair tease the next step of their aforementioned experience in the press release, "We’re trying to put together an experience unlike you’ve ever seen before. We’ll be bringing special guests, characters, a giant puppet and more. We’re excited to show everyone what our project is really about."

Tour dates are as follows:

15 April – Washington DC, Soundcheck Nightclub
16 April – Philadelphia PA. Milkboy Philly
17 April – South Burlington VT, Higher Ground Showcase Lounge
18 April – Cambridge MA, The Middle East – Upstairs
24 April – Chicago IL, Chop Shop
25 April – Detroit MI, The Magic Stick
1 May – West Hollywood CA, The Roxy Theatre
2 May – San Francisco CA, The Independent
15 May – Atlanta GA, 529 Atlanta
16 May – Austin TX, Stubb’s Jr. (Stubb’s Indoors)
17 May – Gulf Shores AL, Hangout Music Festival
23 May – Brooklyn NY, Rough Trade NYC

"Meet Freedom" is out now via ODESZA’s Foreign Family Collective.
