Planetarium Sessions breathes new life into orchestral hip-hop with “Say That (Orchestral Version)”

Planetarium Sessions go in a refreshing new direction with "Say That (Orchestral Version)". Rather than re-treading the emotional depth of modern hip-hop and alternative music, the live session takes a well-known composition and transforms it into a vast orchestral experience. The result is a timeless-feeling performance, reminding listeners that orchestral hip-hop still has the power to captivate today’s audiences.

Planetarium Sessions is creating its own identity as a new live session series inspired by the awe of gazing at the stars, searching for incredible voices across hip-hop, R&B and alternative music. Its mission is not only to showcase talented performers but to revive a musical approach that deserves far more recognition. “Say That (Orchestral Version)” is a confident realization of that vision: modern songwriting meets sweeping orchestral arrangements that add warmth, tension, and cinematic scale. Each instrumental layer contributes to a fuller listening experience, allowing the performance to unfold patiently rather than rush towards familiar modern production trends. The project itself is led by violinist, string arranger, and producer Shawn Law Yone Gilad.

What makes this release so gripping is the combination of intimacy and grandeur. The orchestral accompaniment amplifies the emotion at the core of the performance, creating moments that feel both intimate and expansive. The live session form only contributes to that authenticity, offering listeners an immersive presentation where musicianship is front and center. Planetarium Sessions celebrates the artistry of live performance and orchestral composition working in tandem. It’s a signal that reapplying ideas we’ve already thrown away often comes with new creative energy.

“Say That (Orchestral Version)” Planetarium Sessions proves itself to be more than just another platform for performance. It bills itself as an inventive movement that protects orchestral hip-hop and gives new artists an unforgettable stage.
