2012 brings the advent of all those insanely amazing collaborations we saw forming last year. One of them being Mark Ronson working with Erykah Badu and Yasiin Bey (more commonly known as Mos Def) to produce this deliciously full-bodied track called "A La Modeliste." Uptempo trombone and drum beats provided by none other than Trombone Shorty, Zigaboo Modelist and key members of The Dap Kings give the song a sweet kick. Filmed both in studio and at New Orlean's venerable Preservation Hall, the song is part of Hyundai's RE:GENERATION project which charges five DJs, namely DJ Premier, Skrillex, Pretty Lights and The Crystal Method, to "remix, recreate and re-imagine five traditional styles of music."
