UK-based singer Courtney Hadwin has released her latest single, “You Only Love Me When I Lie.”
With her show-stopping vocals, Courtney Hadwin shows off her blues rock chops on “You Only Love Me When I Lie,” which features a guitar solo from legendary guitarist Steven Van Zandt (AKA Little Steven), best known for his work with Bruce Springsteen as well as acting roles in The Sopranos and Lilyhammer.
On the collaboration, Hadwin says: “I’ve known Steven for a good few years now, and he’s always been very supportive of me and my music. When he said he loved the song and had a cool idea for it, I was so intrigued. I think it brings so much more colour to the track.”
Little Steven isn’t the only celebrated musician on the track, however – “You Only Love Me When I Lie” also features Grammy-winning bassist Kevin Bowe (Etta James, Lynyrd Skynyrd), drummer Noah Levy (Brian Setzer, Five For Fighting), and Tommy Barbarella (Prince, Nick Jonas, Miley Cyrus) on keyboards.
A portion of the proceeds from the song will also be donated to TeachRock to support music education programs in schools.
Having completed her first UK headline tour and having released her debut album Little Miss Jagged in 2025, Courtney Hadwin has made it her mission to move away from her pop roots and make the type of music that truly speaks to her.
