Right away, we are hit with this catchy intro guitar riff that almost brings back this nostalgic feeling of the kick-ass alternative rock music that was featured within the menu screen of those early 2000 EA Sports video game soundtracks. The drums kick open the door for that effortlessly cool vocal sound from lead singer Samuel Shea but it's the solid percussion work delivered with such rhythmic permission and a little mix of lo-fi garage rock guitar sound that makes this track an infectious one of kind jam.
This was a song that was written during a tough time for all of us as a band. It's a calling out from all of us to keep the path steady and the focus forward. Its a song that has multiple meanings, you can read between the lines. I initially had recorded a version of this song on my iPhone in while on tour in England this past fall and it later resurfaced in late December. We recorded it as a band in LA our first few days back off tour. When Amazon first reached out to us about doing this we wanted to spin it in a way where it wasn’t a traditional break-up song. It happened at a very interesting time for us that allowed us pull what was happening with the band. Samuel Shea, Warbly Jets
