Jacques Greene's Allez Allez
An artisan, a puritan. Jacques Greene encompasses the future of not only garage and house, but hip hop in general. Catching this guy play on the late night bill at Wrongbar was a daze not only because of the partaking of spirits, instead his emotive track selection was eye opening and back breaking to ID. Weaving in and out of R&B hooks and raw acid lines. It felt like sunrise rave meeting highschool prom.

Gold N' Grams' Re-Up Radio Volume 1
To kick off a new weekly, highbrow DJ Gold N' Grams set up a mix series to accompany in Re-Up Radio Volume 1. This tape is all tracklist, outlining the frame work of where taste is heading in the next couple of months. Deep house to groove to, garage to geek to, and enough juke to give any white kid the privilege to dagger as he pleases. If you're ever in Guelph Ontario be sure to hit up Tabu on Saturdays to catch this guy push the envelope alongside many forward thinking artists.

DJ Mehdi's Tunisian Summer Mix
And to close I've got Mehdi's last mixtape before he died this week from a fatal accident at his own home. In case you didn't know, Mehdi is 1/2 of Carte Blanche and the glue that held the Ed Banger crew together. A man of nothing but passion, he was all smiles on and off the decks. The intro is chilling, and reminiscent of many greats coincidently ushering in their own deaths. So remember September 13th as not only the death of Tupac Shakur, but also the passing of the lovely and heartwarming DJ Mehdi. RIP brother.
