Parisian producer and DJ Shiba San might be mysterious, but his music is most certainly not. Consistently putting out quality releases, in 2016 already, he's played festivals like Stereosonic in Australia, put out original work (his track "The Wig" via Suara), and remixes (of Tiga's "Don't Break My Heart"). The vision of his music is underground and groovy with snippets of hip hop influences, and his label, Basement Leak, speaks that language as well. Come February 29th, Shiba San will release an EP entitled Various Leaks Vol 1, to demonstrate that sound even further.
We have a first listen to the first track off of that EP, done by Shiba San himself. Entitled "Guess What," it will sit along side another original of his own, as well as work from Dateless and Jaekin.
With classically "house" constructed production, "Guess What" has a shining centerpiece in the form of a bubbling, heart-pumping bass synth that almost leads us down the rabbit hole whilst holding our hand.
