Jamie xx's newest album In Colour just dropped and I'd be doing all of you a disservice if I didn't urge you to listen to it right this minute. The English producer has stunned many with the release of his long awaited LP via Young Turks. The xx member's solo album features buds Romy and Oliver from the xx, Young Thug, Popcaan, and Four Tet while Jamie thrives on the seven solo tracks.

Jamie xx returns listeners to a beauty that many of us have forgotten even existed as the music game has changed so much in the past few years. It reminds us of the colorful world which music is capable of creating and the album doesn't let up for one second. It is completely stunning, in the sense that I can't believe artists like Jamie xx still exist and can still create full length projects of this quality.

Tracks like "Gosh" gear us up for a diverse array of genres. But the impermeable bass in the background cannot prepare us for the liftoff this track takes somewhere past the 2:30 mark. Whoever decided this would be the first track on the album should be given all of the high-fives ever.

The collaborations with xx members Romy and Oliver are not to be ignored either. Persisting within a very xx-esque soundscape, "Stranger In A Room" and "See Saw" are very articulate in emotions as the textures of these track speak to us all.

And for all of you folks that are into the whole tropical music fad, Jamie xx will show you what tropical music really is with his marimba-inspired intro in "Obvs". Every second, every transition, every pulsing synth, every drum kick, and every subtle vocal sample will hit you right in the feels. I mean, can we just talk about the music videos that accompany these tracks?!
