Not wanting to say bye to a partner can be hard as expressed by Bay Area native Yatta Bandz in his latest single “Out of Time,” which is part of his upcoming album, One & The Same.
The 24-year-old artist from Hayward, California, expresses his desire to save a relationship while also dealing with regret and mistakes made in this romance. “I don’t want to say goodbye, but I’m running out of time. Baby, I just want to make it right with you,” he sings through the piano melody.
With similar tones to San Francisco hip-hop artists KARRI, the track brings the vibrant Bay Area vibes in a calm tone that lets the listener understand the storyline and how difficult decisions may always be the right one.
“I’ve been trying to save us, who gonna save the hero when the hero need a savior. Can’t give my heart cause when I do I really take it there. . . You know that my heart isn’t insured; ain’t no Geico.”
Out of Time is a reflective track that captures the painful space between accepting the end of a relationship and refusing to let go.
Yatta Bandz's album One & The Same is set to release July 24.
