This is your Daily 2% – Chilled and Ready to Serve. We will try to bring you one "chill" track every day. This is for when you get home and you are trying to unwind. You reach for that glass of wine or that unlit Black & Mild or maybe you reach for something more herbal. This track is for those times. We are just your milkmen and I'm here to make a delivery. Chill…
Today's delivery is brought to you by J Rocc. He is of course a legendary member and co-founder of the Beat Junkies crew as well as a resident DJ from Stones Throw Records. But now he's making his official debut solo album called Some Cold Rock Stuf which attempts to take you on a journey, back and forward, through all forms of turntablism hip-hop. The album itself is almost like an homage to itself because it's flows with energy from older styles from artists such as DJ Shadow but, at the same time, it finds a way to create its own identity. Albums like this tend to take you on a spiritual journey and everyone's experience will be a little different. But overall you can agree when an album is just dope and that's the case for this album. It just does everything right. The track I'm bringing to you today is called "Chasing The Sun" which is the 7th track from the 12-track LP. This track almost has about three separate acts that are all chill. I should also mention that there will be 3 different mystery CD's that you will get at random with this album purchase. You may get one of the three and it will have no track listing of any sort. The album drops April 5th. Check out the sample track and chill….
Everything about this album will make you lose your mind. Not a mix tape. Not a DJ album. Not a beats album. It's the album.
The CD & LP each contain a Mystery Disc produced by J Rocc. There are three mystery discs in rotation, only one per album. No track list will be published.
