Brooklyn act TVOD unveils new single “Uniform,” giving us a glimpse of upcoming LP Party Time. Tapping into dizzying and roaring soundscape, the track builds on jagged guitars, fierce riffs, sci-fi synths and propulsive rhythms for a fuzzy yet sharp sonic experience.
A dystopian rock’n’roll anthem, the track is led by a half-sung-half-yelled delivery laden with plenty of mystery and allure. Rooted in their bold and unapologetic style, the track gives us a peek into the party-themed core of their album. Speaking of the album, they say “The songs span the band’s history. It’s definitely a party-themed album, with a lot of nods to our more light-hearted late nights, but it leans into the darkness of depression, isolation and addiction that partying can bring. Going through heartbreaks, using partying as a way to cope, whether it’s in a positive or a negative way, is up to interpretation.”
Capturing chaotic feelings of melancholy, nostalgia, longing, pain, euphoria, and self-reflection, the intensely emotive project is set to showcase a more raw and unpredictable side of their musicality. With thoughtful lyrics and fierce energy at the forefront of their craft, TVOD continue to cement their place as one of New York’s most exciting up-and-coming bands.
