SilverHorizon is an alternative/indie rock band that just released their self-titled album "SilverHorizon." This 13-track album takes you on an emotional rollercoaster as you chase your dreams, navigate uncertainty, and find your own strength. The band features Bryce Broberg on guitar and vocals, Connor MacEachern on bass and vocals, and Kenny Snider on drums and vocals.
The album was produced by Chris Kennedy and recorded at Snakebrook Records, and features special guest appearances from Dominic John Davis on the songs "Bring It On Down" and "Make Your Move." The album opens with "Come Down," a track about the battle between dreams and the safe way out. It is an emotional introduction to the journey ahead, and hope mingled with uncertainty.
Continuing this journey, the song "Where Do We Go" explores the fear of choice and the unknown future, and "I Don't Care" goes to a more reserved place, with moments of emotional detachment and separation from outside pressures. "Lost and Found" finds the band reflecting on struggling with a sense of disconnection, as well as those small moments when clarity begins to return.
The album continues its themes of growth and resilience, with "All This Time," which considers the weight of pursuing goals and looking back on the past, and "Better Than This," an anthem of determination to improve oneself and not settle. There is more of a sense of independence about "It's My Turn" that grabs hold of the moment of taking control, while "Bring It On Down" and "Make Your Move" are more urgent in their energy, stepping up to the challenge with confidence and pushing for action when life requires a change.
The final part of the album explores personal struggles, relationships, and memories. "What Are We Talkin' About" is about miscommunication and the endless loops that can make connection difficult, and "Goin' Too Fast" is the feeling of being overwhelmed by moving through life too fast. "Runaway" explores the temptation to run away from pressure and responsibility, and "Backyard Shenanigans" closes out the project with a look back at youth, personal roots, and the craziness that makes us who we are. "SilverHorizon" is a thoughtful record, full of feeling, reflection, and a sense of forward motion.
