The last time we heard from the multi-talented singer/ songwriter Baby Rose was late last year when she hit us with a double video release but now she is back with another video. The song in question is titled "I Won't Tell" and sees her teaming up with the equally talented Smino. serving as the first release for 2023, Baby Rose ramps up the energy with a vintage funk/soul sound palette made up of lush funky guitar riffs, steady bass drove 4/4 drum grooves and rich textures that blend perfectly for her commanding sultry vocals to float over. Baby Rose raises the bar again with her stylish and off-kilter melodic runs that display her unique and authentic artistry. Smino also is not far behind as he smoulders the bouncy beat with his playful melody-tinged flows and detailed lyrical schemes.
The visual directed by Audrey Ellis Fox, chronicles an opulent heist gone wrong with Rose stepping fully into her own as a thrilling new actress. We get to see different sides to her, from being playful, stoic, remorseful and reflective all at once.
"I Won't Tell" is the first single from her forthcoming highly anticipated sophomore album, Through and Through, which is slated for release on April 28 via Secretly and is available for pre-order now.
