Emcees Trizz and Xavier take us down to the west coast on their new collaborative summer jam titled "Slide." The track serves as the duo's first record in over a year and sees them teaming up with Kansas City producer Stone’s Neighbor, who laces them with a smooth synth-driven, bass-heavy backdrop.
Trizz exudes his usual confidence in the verse, detailing the unpredictable motives of women he’s been encountering during his time in the rap game. He sure is in his element and doesn't take himself too seriously with his carefree demeanor but the performance is still impassioned. Xavier holds double duties here as he provides a simple, yet memorable hook that sets the vibe for the song and also throws in his verse for good measure. It is quite obvious the two are having fun and the aura sure feels like California palm trees and great weather all rolled into one. With summer on the horizon, it is only right for them to help us prepare for the forthcoming post-pandemic parties on this bouncy tune.
