West London UK born and bred rappers, Star Lux and MP Dilla have teamed up together as the rap duo Cloude Atlas. Inspired by the film of the same title, the pair look to serve good vibes and a strong message with every track while keeping their self-identity intact. On their single "Palace" they teamed up with singer/producer Val-Verrel who provides the punchy beat and a melodic chorus to match.
The record is a metaphor for the strength of the human mind and the unlimited capabilities it can achieve only if one believes it in. The emcees think of the minds as virtual palaces where they go to fortify themselves in several ways far from the maddening crowd. Bolstered by the cinematic and atmospheric textures and punchy drums, it sure doesn't fall into the run-of-the-mill inspirational tracks but rather an insightful and entertaining piece that everyone can relate to regardless of their creed or background.
"Palace" is is the closing track on Cloude Atlas's Forward In Time: Toki Fruit Act I EP, which is a collaborative project with Val-Verrel who produced it entirely. The EP is a 4 track body of work that touches on topics ranging from self-love ("Laugh Tale (Simmer Down)"), love ("Amazon Lily (White Sheets") and self-perseverance ("Whiskey Peak (Icy)’") with the enticing song "Palace" rounding it up.
