As the Louisville, Kentucky based duo Otis Junior & Dr. Dundiff prepare to release their upcoming Rising With It EP, they treat us to a delightful duet "You & Me" with singer/songwriter J.Lamotta. The track sees the singers dwell on intersecting relationships and the idea of taking chances.
Producer Dr. Dundiff does an absolute madness on the production, fully tapping into the jazz and soul realm with syncopated drums, layered guitar riffs, moody keys, and shifty percussions to complete the job. J.Lamotta is the first to step up and opens up the track as soon as it starts with her semi-breathy vocals that sit perfectly over the driving beat. Otis Junior follows suit with a melodic run with a spoken word flow. The song doesn't follow the normal verse, chorus, verse arrangement but rather just flows into different sections with some repeated phrases and a chorus at the end of it all which makes it somewhat dynamic and different.
