Emerging emcee Patrick P.A.T. Barnett is a U.S. Air Force veteran who has served the country in operations such as Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Currently channeling his art into hip-hop, he pens a heartfelt letter to the music that changed his life on his new single "Getting Over You" which also comes with an accompanying video.

The self-produced song is a mixed bag of emotions ranging from fears, hope, and love. P.A.T truly pours his heart out over the lush soulful backdrop with lines like "You see I fell in love after I fell in lust and I confess sins to music 'cos is what I trust." He gives the listener a thorough glimpse into his most prized possession, his art and implores us to never give up even in the face of seemingly insurmountable challenges. As a veteran, it's without a doubt that he has faced his fears on numerous occasions and that same steeled will power is shown when he shows the concern of falling into the trappings of fame if he does succeed in the music industry. The visuals capture P.A.T in his element and make use of various performance shots in different settings. We get to see him in his stomping grounds and also in the studio concocting his music.

"Getting Over You"  is being distributed by P.A.T's independent record label based in Fort Worth, Texas.
