Burning Pools have released their new single of the year “Bang Bang.” Erupting with tenacity the song comes to life through raucous guitars, confident percussion, and energetic melodies, emitting an overall stunning yet menacing track which captivates listeners and holds them hostage.
The garage rock trio consists of former Smashing Pumpkins bassist Ginger Pooley, along with her husband Kristopher Pooley and guitarist Max Bernstein. Combined, their sound is fueled by their passion for fiery power-pop, crashing instrumentation and explosive choruses, creating the ultimate foot-stomping music which will help to release all tension and blow away those cobwebs.
“Bang Bang” is off of their upcoming debut EP – a collection of tracks that focus on the battle between society’s values and vices. Pooley shares, “It’s nothing new for music to be a voice of criticism of our culture. That is the purpose of a lot of art. This is just my way of expressing my frustration with the priorities of modern society. Valuing money over everything, undervaluing women and people of color. Hopefully, our songs make people who are of the same accord feel heard and supported. There is so much injustice in the world, we hope to be a part of the solution in some small way.”
