Berlin-based producer DYVN (pronounced dive in) teams up with Philadelphia-based rapper Magnetic The Shaman on his new single titled "Vices & Virtues." A laid back boom-bap infused tune that details the duality of humans and the variables we all have to deal with as life goes on. Production-wise, DYVN crafts a smooth reflective jam that blends jazzy old school hip-hop and synthesizer-fueled Future Soul that serves as the right canvas for the introspective bars from Magnetic The Shaman.
Magnetic The Shaman delivers an emotional performance with a laid back vibe as he croons. The song was written and recorded during the early stages of lockdown time and contains reflections of Magnetic revolving around the notion that we all are results of both our vices and our virtues. He sees it as the never-ending yin and yang where one can't exist without the other.
"Vices & Virtues" is taken from DYVN’s upcoming EP What A View, which is scheduled for release on July 27 on his newly co-founded conscious label Oat Milk Records.
