GIGEE taps into deep emotions in 'Minotaur' EP

Polish born, Paris-based DJ and producer GIGEE has returned to Katermukke to release her latest EP, Minotaur. The two track EP is a hypnotic, deep dive into her melodic sound.

GIGEE · GIGEE – Minotaur

Title track “Minotaur” blends a powerful, driving bassline with expertly layered synths to carve a shimmering soundscape as the track unwinds. Strong percussive moments and groovy melodies tie everything together to create the perfect balance between house and techno, with a progressive edge. A track which takes the listener on a journey, “Minotaur” is thoughtful, introspective and yet doesn’t lose the edge which makes it ready for early mornings on the dancefloor.

The B-side, “Hall of Gods” loses the deep groove of “Minotaur” and delves into lighter, more airy and ethereal sounds. A minimalistic bassline allows breezy synths to do the talking, and continues the journey where its predecessor left off. Undoubtably one for the after hours, “Hall Of Gods” is subtly euphoric; it’s a track which is easy to get sucked into and lost in. Equally as good in the club or for at home relaxation, this one taps into all the right places when it comes to just letting go and allowing the music to take over.

Minotaur can be streamed via Spotify and purchased via Beatport.
