It's been a minute since we heard from indie hip-hop act Yani K and on her new effort "Bobby Brown", it's like she never left. Still packing the fiery attitude and insightful style that endeared her to us, Yani K delivers a healthy dose of bravado and confidence over the chilled, ethereal soundscape and gives us a peek into the things raging in her head.
Using a snippet of an old Bobby Brown interview gives it a nice touch as it buttresses her sole aim of doing something positive to be a better person through music. "Bobby Brown" seems like a one-off track from the elusive rapper, but at least it's something we all can vibe with during this lockdown.
