Maryland emcee K.A.A.N's newest release "The Escape" gets the visual treatment that captures the anxieties and uncertainties about the man behind the music. As we continue to brood about the future in this global pandemic, "The Escape" sure feels like the next best thing we can latch on to to get a sense of relief even if it's for a short moment.
Backed by a soulful, solemn production courtesy of producers Dee Ace and Dem Jointz, "The Escape" encourages the elimination of distractions in order to appreciate the simple things in life, an activity that many of us are forced to do in these uncertain times. This message is pertinent to the overall theme of K.A.A.N's forthcoming Blissful Awareness LP, based on the theme of obtaining complete self-awareness through time and wisdom.
The video sees him working with Sean Cooper and Matthew T Robinson who help bring the escapist theme to life with this simple representation. the director focuses on K.A.A.N as he takes time away from the big city and goes into the wilderness to clear his mind and find inner peace. "The Escape" will serve as the lead single from KAAN's forthcoming album Blissful Awareness (due out 5/29), which is a project all about self-awareness.
