Our favorite Florida turned LA-based alternative rapper Bryce Byrd was last featured on EARMILK when he released the highly ethereal video for "Space Is A Quiet Place" back in March, and the excellent but brief Pre-COAT EP last month.
Over the weekend, the 24 year-old spitter finally released his long-awaited COAT EP, a 7-track introspective sound collage where Bryce commands spaced-out instrumentals with an unique blend of flow, melody, and abstract & insightful lyricism. Only two of the tracks go longer than 2 minutes, giving the listener bite-sized but potent vignettes. Most of the production is handled by Bryce himself and along side frequent collaborator Lorenzo Daniels, and with all of the visual components (videos and album cover) handled by his in house creative, The Alba Collective.
