Mystic ethereal rock at it’s finest, Midnight Divide release their latest single ‘Inherent Vice’. The track features wistful soundscapes, passionate vocals, throbbing drums and narrates the cycle of bad relationship habits.
Consisting of frontman Austen Moret, Jace McPartland on bass, Dan Beltran on lead guitar and Bryan King on drums, the Los Angeles based alt-rock band showcase a cinematic electrifying sound connecting with audiences across the nation. Sonically, they fuse an array of styles from intense alt-rock to synths and pop production. With raw emotive vocals a la Queens of the Stone Age, their music focuses on themes of self-destruction, self-awareness and yearning to overcome the odds. Moret confides, “I hope this music inspires someone to feel okay about feeling conflicted. That emotions don’t play by the rules and aren’t limited to one at a time, and that’s okay. You’re able to work through that and be a little fucked up about it”.
6’3", 260 pounds, and a former center for Purdue football, Moret isn’t what you’d expect for a sensitive musician. Songwriting from as young as two while playing on his grandmother’s piano, this multi-layered musician truly wears his heart on his sleeve.
