Two of the most respected names in underground electronic's softer-edged corners, George FitzGerald and Lil Silva have debuted a new project together entitled OTHERLiiNE, with their first single under the new name released this week. "Chimes" debuted on Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 show, taking this UK act from a respected duo to UK-certified trifecta.
With both parties' signature styles living in the moodier edges of deep house and electronica, "Chimes" meets in a soothing space in the middle of each. A track with ample space and an twisting and turning flow of arpeggios accenting its grace, it's an addicting, but soothing listen that feels like the tip of the iceberg signaling more good things to come from these two talented artists now working together. We didn't get much of Lil Silva's vocals on this debut, leaving room for assumption that there just has to be more where this came from.
This follows the release of George FitzGerald's album All That Must Be, and a spattering of singles from Lil Silva throughout 2018.
