The UK duo Leftwing: Kody has been outputting club-ready bullets on some of the most respected labels in the tech house realm, such as Toolroom and Relief. Following up their successful release "I Feel It," the tech house mavens are back with their latest EP Chaos Theory. EARMILK is thrilled to premiere one of the fine tunes in this EP, "Shadow Hills."
Taking a left turn from their usual tech-house roller sounds, Leftwing: Kody flexes their production versatility in this tech-lace progressive dance-floor killer. The duo abandons the conventional song structures and calls for undistracted attention. The straightforward repetition throughout the track is marked by its propulsive yet rugged basslines, juxtaposing ambience and density. Marrying vocal manipulation with additively sinuous rhythms, Leftwing: Kody takes us through a story told in an ebb and flow of smooth melodies.
The duo also shared with us the story behind the signing with Circus Recordings: "Circus has been one of our bucket list labels for like, forever! We had the honour of playing with Yousef four years ago, there we exchanged details and got to work. It’s a dream come true for us, thanks to Yousef and the Circus team for believing in us"
The two track compilation EP is slated to release on May 17th. Pre-order the record here.
