Monki goes on an acidic UK house journey on "Work It"

Monki has released a buzzing single with surprising twists and turns for every house and techno fan, entitled "Work It." As a UK tastemaker with a BBC Radio 1 radio show, her own party series and record label Weapons, Monki is a name you can probably expect to see rise on a global stage as her own influence expands and the underground realms of house music continue to sit comfortably in trendy popularity.

The first hook that "Work It" draws in with is a warm, entrancing bass line that with time transforms into a sharp and groovy acidic top line. That retro inclusion flows throughout the song, guiding it along through passionate vocal samples and emotive strings, catching the beat in its safety net after it drops. While on paper "Work It" has all the classic elements of a great UK house track, it's Monki's creative touches that make it far from cookie cutter.
