Reiche’s “The Vision” seeks to show us the future of techno

Steadily popularizing over the years worldwide, techno remains an enigma for many, its undulating beats packaged neatly in a brooding, melancholic box of soothing repetition. It's an engrossing experience for listeners, and for DJ and producer Chris Reiche of Reiche, a way to create new atmospheres for people to lose themselves in—and enjoy the night. "The Vision" is an answer to said experience, seeking to show us the future of techno and electronic music through a profound titillation of sound.

Earthy snares kick early in "The Vision", setting the scene for a lush soundscape both introspective and brooding. With hints of old school techno stealthily strewn throughout, Reiche directs the modulated beats with a haunting flair, progressively building up towards a whirlwind of bass and space-infused synths. It's a relentless dance of growls and fevered percussion breaks, a track that calls upon a new era of sonic juxtaposition.

Reiche has been producing music for years with releases on a variety of labels under his alias deeflash and also as Reiche. Last year, the producer decided to venture out, moving from New York to Atlanta to join his Southern Exposure Music family and hit the ground running. He has since been DJing at Merge and many other events in Atlanta, in addition to performing live at a few select events alongside label partner Raskal.
