Lou Phelps is back with the visuals for his latest "Miss Phatty."
After making waves with a handful of singles and his acclaimed debut 001: Experiments, Lou Phelps is back on his grind with the announcement of a new project 002 / Love Me where "Miss Phatty" serves as the sophomore single. Musically he and Kaytranada (with additional production from acclaimed jazz group BADBADNOTGOOD), craft an upbeat, off-kilter sound on the record which displays a nice mix of electronic and hip-hop elements. On the microphone, Lou is still sharp and witty as ever with the pen game as he proceeds to seduce a woman using quirky lines such as "I'm not the type to have a type/Cause if I had a type, I'd never have a girl" with a double-time flow.
The visual is pretty slick too as it takes us through a day in the life of Lou as he ponders on the unnamed lady that caught his attention and later proceeds to the strip club for some downtime with his boys.
002 / Love Me will be out on the 21st of September. Featured guests include BadBadNotGood, Jahkoy, Planet Giza, Pony, and drum master, Karriem Riggins.
