"Illusion" is the latest single from Olive b, a singer|songwriter|freestyler based in Toronto. She teamed up with her usual collaborators Chewy and Bobby Love who help craft an atmospheric backdrop for her heartfelt lyrics.
The emotionally driven single sees the singer go deep in her feelings as she confronts a dire situation with confidence and ease. Over an electro-soul/hip-hop soundscape, her smooth jazzy vocals are delivered in a love-lorn fashion as she comes to terms with the reality of holding on to something that is actually detrimental. She realizes that the individual in question is pretty much sucking away at her soul as opposed to replenishing it.
Illusion” is the first single amongst many to come from the classically-trained artist. Originally from St. Catharines but now based in T-dot, Olive B is currently back in the studio working on her indie-R&B fused style of music.
