LA-based singer and songwriter James Quick has released his new sing-along music video "Bored in College" just in time for graduation season. The DIY video (shot completely on cell phones) came together so naturally that the end result is pure collegiate magic, relatable down to the map of the world shower curtain. The compilation even features an impromptu cameo by famous actress Bella Thorne, adding just a little star quality to the homemade video.
In an interesting twist, Quick himself was a college dropout when he left school to pursue music. He emerged in 2015 with only a handful of songs recorded in his dorm room. Since then he has had a steady stream of releases and has amassed five million streams on Spotify. In Quick's case, being "bored in college" is beginning to pay off.
