Treasureseason – the chillwave duo comprised of Dave Powell (producer) and Jess Bartlet (vocals) – has just released the latest installation of their captivating, otherworldly sound. Via haunting imagery of a darker core below dream pop instrumentals,"The Rush" catches its listener between seductive reverb and moment of realization lyrics.

This song transports listeners to an ethereal forest with glistening guitar riffs as a soundtrack. With lyrics asking the listener to "peel back the frame," Treasureseason mirrors the complexity of Bartlet's vocals with intoxicating electronic layers. "The Rush" is both relaxing and asking the hard questions in its lyrics, giving substance to a lo-fi sound.
The evolution of Treasureseason's multi-instrumental, bedroom sound is evident across three EPs,' Treasureseason,' 'Bearing, North,' and 'Julep.' After traveling and finding inspiration by blending synths with natural sounds, the duo successfully crafts a Nordic feel to "The Rush" without falling into a sleepy cliche. The single is the duo's first official release in almost two years, and comes in the wake of their upcoming 'XY' EP to be released on January 19th. Peep "The Rush" and look out for more of Treasureseason in 2017!
