Eekkoo shines through on Noir's Darkstars 002 with his 'In The Night' remix

Following on from the first edition of Darkstars which featured the talent of Pig & Dan and Traumer to name a few, Noir have bought us a second compilation of beautiful sounds. The second is promising to be just as big as 001 with artists such as Metodi Hristov, Paul Ursin and Florian Kruse joining the above.

One sound in particular, from Montreal's Eekkoo, is a smooth, emotional rework of Mark Jackus and Marcus Sur's "In The Night". Carefully crafted by the sound engineer and teacher by trade, it is definitely a stand out sound from the mix.

[soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/293022022" params="color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false" width="100%" height="166" iframe="true" /]

The track holds Eekkoo's signature production styles – emotional progression with melodic, drawn out synth. Add to this just the right amount of percussion and that's what makes it one of those romantic remixes that you'll be listening to more than once to get the different levels of sound and feeling. Already being supported by artists such as Claptone, Cristoph and Low Steppa – this is one track certainly making an impact.

Darkstars 002 is out now on Noir
