Russian producer and DJ Shapov might sound like a newer name to you in the house music game, but isn't a newbie at all. Beginning his career in the duo Hard Rock Sofa, he helped define the Russian big room sound through multiple hits in the early 2010's. Now on his own, he's joined Axtone Records as a shining rising star for releases like his Everybody EP with M.E.G. & N.E.R.A.K, singles like "Runic" and his remix of CamelPhat's 2015 hit "Paradigm," and now again for his latest single.
Entitled "Future Rave," the track demonstrates Shapov's evolving style and talent as a producer. With a style indicated by the single's name, "Future Rave" is an out of this world take on electro, with huge 808s, entrancing synth play, and a breakdown that's an mpressively fresh take on both hip hop and electro.
