I really didn't expect this one to come through. Tom Misch just released Beat Tape 2 not more than a month ago, and now we get a little diddy to keep us going. Tom is known for either creating beautiful originals, or chopping up his favorite tracks to show us his other side. Either way, everyone wins.
Respectably, Tom decided to move with one of Erykah Badu's best, "On & On". There's not any indication on why he chose this one, but he does an exceptional job at ripping it up and molding it to a new line of production. As always, Tom is best served smooth, rarely will we find an upbeat or hectic track from the UK native. This one is no different, a perfect tune for those relaxation moments. He plans to add this to the extended version of Beat Tape 2, along with others like "Brazilian Love", "Now", and "Oh Baby". Let's be clear: this is not an artist strategy I'm opposed to.
