Seemingly out of nowhere, Earl Sweatshirt releases a minute and sixteen-second track called "45." Rapping over a dark beat, Earl spits with his usual viciousness. He also tweeted, along with the release of the track, a message that merely says, "ALCHEMIST / SWAMPMAN." This would lead me to believe that the tune was produced by hip-hop beat maker Alchemist.
It is unclear if Earl is referring to himself as Swampman, but I assume we will learn more about the name in the near future. Earl's first album Doris, debuted more then a year ago to positive reviews. We haven't heard much music from him since. Maybe, Earl is staying tight lipped on what may be the beginning of his next project. Check out the seventy-six second clip for "45" below.
